Happy Thursday everyone! I don’t know if it’s the fact that we’re getting closer to winter or what, but the weeks have been flying by. We’ve officially entered the holiday season, so things are getting pretty busy for us between weddings, work functions, holiday parties, etc. But I must say, I love this time of year!
This update is a bit late, but this past weekend Kyle and I got to attend a wedding for some friends and it was a blast. We got to see tons of people we haven’t seen in a while, and despite the foggy weather, it was a great night. The wedding was held in a tent on a farm, so we were worried about being cold at first. But throughout the whole tent they put tons of tall heaters, and after about 30 minutes it was the perfect temperature.
The wedding was pretty big, with about 160 people attending. They had 20+ tables, so we ended up sitting with some of our best friends, as well as some people we didn’t know. After the ceremony, we were able to mingle and meet some new people.
Once the food was served and it got a bit darker outside, we hit the dance floor, which was my favorite part. Kyle and I rarely get to dance together in this type of setting, and it’s actually the first wedding we ever attended together. Being around some of our closest friends and celebrating a new marriage was a very special feeling. I never thought I would feel as emotional as I did about someone else’s wedding.
The next day we woke up somewhat late since we stayed out until about 2am, which is pretty unusual even for us! We packed a backpack and headed straight to the Fryburg Fair, which is the biggest fair in our area. It was opening day, so it was basically a mob scene, but we took our time and just walked around. My favorite thing about the fair is the cows, so we headed over to the dairy barns to see some of the babies.
Since the fair is 7 full days long, they usually have baby cows, horses, goats, pigs, etc. that are born during the week, so I love going back to see them. Next we grabbed a bunch of food, and walked around to look at the random items to buy. There are always tons of vendors that carry items you probably never thought existed, so it’s funny to see what they bring each year.
We ended up getting some different sauces and craft items (for my mom), as well as some popcorn. We watched some of the exhibitors, one of which was a glass-blower who was making beautiful glass pumpkins. I’m always amazed at home talented some of these exhibitors are, and how much they can make with their hands. I wish I had some of these talents!
Needless to say, last weekend was jam packed. But we had so much fun, and it was amazing to finally have most of the weekend off together. We’ve got a lot planned in the upcoming weeks, and I’m excited to share the details with all of you!
What are your plans for this weekend? Is there a local fair in your area?
What do you use to make your personalized pics? I love them! The wedding looked like a blast. I am on duty at the hospital all weekend so no plans for me!

It’s online and they just launched an app, but it’s limited use so I’m waiting for them to introduce more graphics to the app version. Thank you! 🙂
