In any relationship, it’s difficult to find time for just the two of you. In my case, add the military and my own career into the mix, which turns into 0 time! Date nights are few and far between, and are rarely uninterrupted. However in the past month, between holidays and special events we have been so lucky to have lots of opportunities to spend time together. So whether it’s with a group, family, or just the two of you, here are some products to help you look and feel your best!

Healing Body Lotion

I didn’t know until fairly recently, but Vaseline has some amazing new products! From their new lip care line to their healing body lotions, they’re pretty much saving my skin this winter. I apply this lotion to my whole body after showering, and it lasts all day. When my skin gets dry I get little red patches (it’s extremely sensitive) which is sometimes noticeable in pictures.  This product keeps it moisturized and even-toned 24/7.

Miss Dior Perfume

Each time that I walk through Macy’s I used to stop and spray this perfume, because it was the closest I could get to owning it. It just smells so good. So this year I got lucky and received it for Christmas! It’s a very subtle but pretty fragrance, and I use it almost every day now. Especially on date night!

Bath & Body Vitamin E Overnight Serum

Having such sensitive skin, I have to be really careful with what I use, especially on my face. Bath & Body Works makes some great products that specifically cater to those with sensitive skin, one of them being the Vitamin E collection. The overnight serum is applied before bed, and locks in moisture while you’re sleeping! It has an oil base, so it goes a long way. It’s perfect if you know you have a special event the next day, and it’ll still be working its magic in time for date night.

Pore Care Red Wine Face Mask

Two of my favorite things: wine and face masks! These are great for a fresh-faced look, and (most times) can be applied during down time such as reading or watching tv, which is great if you’re a multitasker like myself. I usually apply mine at night, and they always make my face feel so smooth for multiple days after.

Crest 3D White 1hr Express Strips

I only use these occasionally (they’re extremely expensive and only come 4 to a pack) but they make a huge difference. I use them around the holidays mostly because so many pictures are being taken, and there’s nothing worse than being tagged in a picture and wishing you had a brighter smile.

Argan Magic Hair Oil

I’ve been using this oil for a few years now (you’ve probably seen it in my previous posts) and even my hairdresser noticed a difference! Whether you’re straightening your hair or curling it, or just leaving it as is, this product gives it a little extra shine. It also helps repair dead ends, which I definitely had before I started using it. And the best part is, you can find it almost anywhere!

What are your go-to products before date night/special events?

  1. Hey, I love The Body Shops Vitamin E collection too! I haven’t tried that product, but if you suffer from sensitive skin you should try Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet, it’s just a general moisturiser to apply in the mornings and I love it!! I’m actually uploading a post that goes more in depth about the product so if you’re interested, that will go live tomorrow!
