With May and warmer weather fast approaching, that means one exciting thing for our family.. SPRING BREAK. No, we’re not in college anymore, but we try to plan a big trip every year between March and May to let loose and find some adventure in a new place. This year is a repeat trip for us to one of my favorite places: Charleston, South Carolina.
In November of last year, I drove all the way from Florida to Maine with a couple of my coworkers. We covered the entire East Coast, and it was one of the worst road trips I’ve ever been on. Not even joking. Not only did we run into traffic trying to get out of Florida, but we hit about 6 more traffic jams along the way. And to make matters worse, the rear windows in our truck got completely shattered because we traveled through a bad area. All of it could have easily been avoided if we had known what was ahead of us, and had the right tools to actually enjoy the trip. Continue reading “8 Mobile Apps For Your Next Road Trip”
One of my favorite things about fall is that it’s the perfect time to get active, and get outside. The temperature is just right, and the foliage is amazing in New England. Before we know it the ground is going to be covered in snow, so I’m excited to get out there and check some things off of my fall bucketlist! Continue reading “Fall Bucketlist”
Happy Thursday everyone! I don’t know if it’s the fact that we’re getting closer to winter or what, but the weeks have been flying by. We’ve officially entered the holiday season, so things are getting pretty busy for us between weddings, work functions, holiday parties, etc. But I must say, I love this time of year! For the first time in my adult life, I have a job that allows me to have weekends off. And it’s weird. I’ve been at my current job for about 2 months now, and I’m still not used to it. I still feel like I’m supposed to have random days off in the middle of the week, or none at all. Let’s just say my previous job required a lot more of my time.
Now weekends are filled with whatever plans happen to come up, and I’ve created my own independent routine. It’s taken a lot of getting used to, and I still don’t really know what to do with it. K is usually working or doing field exercises, so I try to plan some fun things with friends and get some work done around the house. And as an added bonus, I get to work more on my blog! Here’s a glimpse into our weekends in the summer. Continue reading “A Day In The Life: Weekends In The Summer”
There’s nothing fun about the airport when you’re waiting to get to your vacation destination. You wait all year to have a week (or more, if you’re lucky) off, only to spend 2 hours at the airport, and 3+ hours flying. It’s all fun and games until, suddenly, your luggage is missing or your flight is delayed for 4 hours. Continue reading “10 Tips For Making Your Airport Experience Quick and Easy”
I have a confession to make that maybe some of you can relate to. Continue reading “Our Traveling Bucketlist”
Ok, so maybe it wasn’t a real vacation. But a girl can pretend! Continue reading “Mini Vacation Recap”
Yesterday was our “big” moving day, and despite the monsoon we were having, we got it all done! I didn’t realize how many things we had until the 5th trip to the storage unit, seeing our cars filled to the ceiling each time. My conclusion of the day: moving sucks. Although everyone is dreading the colder weather, fall can be the perfect time to get outside and go on adventures with your favorite person. Maybe even for a first date! Continue reading “Fall Date Ideas”
